Jeff attended his first yoga class in 2001, loved it, and knew after that first class it was something he wanted to continue doing on a consistent basis. In 2003 he began to vacation (or holiday as is said here) at the Sivananda Yoga Ashram on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. In 2007, after feeling a calling for several years to change his vocation, he said fare thee well to a career as a Certified Public Accountant and Financial Controller. He earned his certificate to teach yoga from the Sivananda Yoga Ashram in 2009. He later completed Kundalini Yoga teacher training in Cork City in 2011. He has also attended workshops by Gurmukh, Richard Freeman, Seane Corn, Ana Forrest, Desiree Rumbaugh, and Gary Kraftsow. He met his (Irish !) wife to be at the Ashram on Paradise Island and made the move from Boston USA to Ireland in the name of love ! Besides teaching classes at the studio, he also teaches offsite at various businesses and organizations, and on Inchydoney Beach under the Unity banner. He likes to be encouraging, positive, life affirming, light hearted, authentic, and have fun and laugh while teaching.
Jeff’s classes consist of an eclectic blend of the best elements of an infinite number (x 11) of yoga traditions and styles. To name a few of those styles : Hatha (traditional), Vinyasa (flow), Kundalini (inward focus), Sivananda (classic), and Viniyoga (adaptable). These styles are combined with more modern developments infused with Jeff’s intuition (third eye, Ajna chakra) to create what is most beneficial and joyful at any given moment in class. Classes explore a variety of asanas (postures), movements, pranayama (breathing techniques), mudras (hand positions), sound, and meditation. The only requirement for attendance is a healthy funny bone.

Bairbre’s mission statement is that “People connect to their inner Shaman or Healer.” She sees the work that she does as an exploration for others to see and realise their full potential in self-healing. Earth rooted connection is a huge part of how her work is moving and changing, living in accordance with nature and learning from the natural world and cycles.
The classes she is currently facilitating at Unity Yoga are based on Nervous System regulation : Gentle/Therapeutic Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Deep Relaxation, and Transformational Breathwork.

Clodagh teaches mindful, breath-led movement, cultivating self-care and compassion. She believes yoga is a way to connect with the body and breath, and release physical and mental tension. She aims to share the benefits of yoga – including openness, awareness and balance – with her students through careful cueing and thoughtfully planned sequences. Clodagh teaches vinyasa yoga, restorative, and ante-natal, and post-natal yoga.
Clodagh has practiced yoga all her life, beginning as a child with her mother who taught yoga since the 1980s! Clodagh began to deepen and develop her own yoga practice over 15 years ago and has found it an invaluable tool in supporting her through all life stages, including pregnancy and motherhood. She trained with Naomi Annand and Adam Hocke at Yoga On The Lane, London in 2016 (RYT 200 Yoga Alliance).

Lorraine has been teaching Pilates (and happiness !) since 2005 enabling human beings of all ages and abilities to connect and flow with their own bodies in the true spirit of Pilates. She has trained as a secondary level school teacher, fitness instructor, Pilates Instructor and neuromuscular therapist. Lorraine is a continuing student of the Diamond Approach, a path of realization that integrates psychotherapy and spirituality. A mother to two young children, she has lived in West Cork since 2002.

Joan has been exploring yoga, embodied practices, and energy practices for over 10 years. A relative ‘late bloomer’ these practices have been powerful teachers. They have also triggered some big changes in her life – not least swapping the corporate world of management consulting to the more creative world of art, yoga, and energy practices!! Yes – sometimes these practices beg us to listen until we can no longer turn a deaf ear to what our heart, body, mind (so often the saboteur of our dreams) and spirit are saying!! Embodied practices allow us to tune into our natural wisdom and our sense of ourselves in this magical world.

Rónan McLoughlin (Hao Tong) began his journey into Taiji 10 years ago. A self described “cause and effect-ist” his love for the art of Taiji has only deepened as he has experienced the profoundly positive impact it has had upon his life. Through his earlier explorations as a movement artist and fire performer he became fascinated with how we learn and how to optimize the learning experience. This work led him to teach and perform around the world for the past 20 years. Based in his home in Ireland, Rónan continues his study of Taiji and the internal arts and encouraged by Master Liao he shares the practice with any that are interested.
“In my experience of Taiji we explore the most basic foundations of ourselves, not through concepts but through our direct experience. We learn how to engage with that base structure from which we experience and through which we live. By making adjustments to the foundations we find that things naturally change. We don’t have to force change but we put certain causes into effect and we find that our experience naturally changes. So rather than getting lost in inner conflict and resistance to how things are, we go towards the root and we “tweak” the underlying structure. These changes ripple through our system and we find that our experience of life is different.”

Lisa has been facilitating Meditation groups in West Cork since 2010. In her classes, participants explore various methods that bring them to stillness, strengthening the connection to that part of us which is beyond form, beyond personality and is boundary-less, that is to say our True Self our Essence. Learning and practising these methods gives us tools for every day living that can create our world, where we live with greater awareness and responsibility for our thoughts, actions and way of Being. Where we get to choose Love over fear time and time again.
Lisa has a background in Psychotherapy and Energy Healing. She has been practising meditation since her mid twenties and this practise deepened and expanded as she delved further into the esoteric wisdom teachings, under the guidance of enlightened Spiritual Master H.H. Sai Maa Lakshmi Devi, and other spiritual Masters such as Amma, Pema Chodron, Sogyal Rinpoche, Mooji & Sadhguru.
